Banana Bread

Home made bread with ripe bananas. Easy & Fast & Economical to make.

I learnt this recipe from an American family. My friend's mom makes this bread, when the bananas get ripe. Adding this mashed bananas to the bread dough and makes the bread tastier. This way we can consume it by not wasting the ripe bananas.

We would need 2 cups all-purpose flour, 2 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt, 2/3 cup white sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon powder, 1/3 cup butter, softened, 2 eggs, 4-5 ripe mashed banana, 1 tsp vanilla extract. Optional to add nuts.

Begin to grease a baking pan with butter. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a mixing bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon pwd and sugar. Add butter, vanilla extract, eggs, nuts, and mashed banana. Beat until well blended. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake about 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the bread comes out clean. It's ready and delicious. Its fast and easy to make for a morning breakfast.
